REV. DR. NOULEZHALIE RICKY MEDOM
 
Dr. Noulezhalie Ricky Medom joined the Naga Christian Fellowship, Delhi in February 1992. The fellowship has grown from a handful of students and few families in 1992 to a lively Church now and functions under the NBCC (Nagaland Baptist Church Council) as an Associate Member. Majority of the active members are university students from Nagaland and other Northeast States. Over the years active members at NCF has included families from various countries including USA, UK, Germany, Netherlands, Philippines, Singapore, Canada and others.


Dr. Medom is from Kohima, Nagaland. He did his early High School and Pre-University studies in Kohima and BA from St. Edmunds College under the North East Hill University. His Theological training was done in the Philippines, an MDiv from Asian Theological Seminary, 1983 in Quezon City and Master of Theology/Doctor of Theology from the Asia Baptist Graduate Theological Seminary, Baguio City in 1996.

His Doctoral Dissertation is in the field of Systematic Theology and specifically on the topic: “The Relevance of the Theological Motif of Exile to the Naga’s Struggle for Sovereignty as a people.” The Dissertation deals with the struggle of displaced groups of ethnic people and their struggle to exist as a people. The larger benefit of this study encompasses the possibility of the application of this Theological model or World view to other people group struggling to find meaning and purpose for their existence and in relation to their adherence to the Judeo-Christian Tradition of Faith founded on the Holy Bible.

He is a well-known Conference speaker in Nagaland. He has also been a featured Speaker in Churches in the USA, Denmark, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Switzerland and the Philippines.


Dr. Medom is married to Virginia Dela Rosa Medom, a Filipino. She is a graduate of the University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City in B.Sc. Social Work. She also has a Masters in Christian Education (M.C.E) from the Asian Theological Seminary, Quezon City. They have two children, a daughter and a son.
